About the Opportunity
Canada is entering one of the most significant periods of nuclear expansion in its history. Our client is advancing a major new nuclear development project that will help shape the future of clean energy infrastructure.
Currently in the planning and development phase, this program focuses on the early project work required to support future construction. This includes strategic planning, site readiness, infrastructure development, commercial planning, regulatory support, workforce planning and execution strategies.
This is an opportunity to join a project at the beginning of its lifecycle and help establish the foundation for a nationally significant infrastructure initiative.
While experience within the nuclear industry is valuable, professionals from other complex, highly regulated industries are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
As Program Manager, you will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of major project initiatives, translating strategic objectives into executable programs and projects.
Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will help integrate engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, project controls and stakeholder activities while supporting the successful development of large-scale capital projects.
Depending on your assigned portfolio, responsibilities may include initiatives related to:
- Site readiness and enabling infrastructure
- Civil works and construction preparation
- Utilities and transportation infrastructure
- Workforce readiness
- Temporary facilities and logistics
- Early project planning and execution strategies
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary depending on the assigned program but may include:
- Lead planning and execution of assigned projects and work packages.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and execution strategies.
- Coordinate engineering, construction, procurement and project controls activities.
- Manage project risks, schedules, costs and change management processes.
- Support procurement strategies, contract development and contractor selection.
- Facilitate project meetings and stakeholder alignment across multiple disciplines.
- Monitor contractor performance, project progress and key deliverables.
- Prepare project reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and governance requirements.
- Build collaborative relationships across internal teams, consultants, contractors and project partners.

- Other highly regulated industries
Experience in nuclear is an asset, but candidates with transferable experience delivering major infrastructure projects are strongly encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
You may bring a combination of:
- 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience
- Experience delivering large capital or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling and risk management
- Experience working with engineering firms, contractors and suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline

- PMP
- P.Eng.
- MBA
- PgMP
- Other relevant professional certifications
