Senior Product Consultant - Nuclear & Digital Innovation
Location: Ontario | Hybrid / Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Nuclear | Technology | Digital Transformation
The Opportunity
Strategic Way Consulting is recruiting an experienced Senior Product Consultant to support a growing organization delivering innovative digital solutions within Canada’s nuclear sector.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong product management capability with exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to understand complex business challenges, translate needs into practical solutions, and help guide digital products and initiatives from concept through implementation.
You do not need to come from the nuclear industry to be successful in this role. We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring strong product management practices from technology, consulting, financial services, SaaS, professional services or other complex environments and apply them within a highly regulated industry.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Product Consultant, you will:
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand business problems, operational needs and user requirements.
- Facilitate conversations that help teams define problems before moving into solution development.
- Translate stakeholder and user needs into clear product requirements, priorities and actionable work.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams, subject matter experts, designers and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support product discovery, research, validation and prioritization activities.
- Lead or participate in workshops, working sessions and client presentations.
- Help clients evaluate competing priorities and make informed product decisions.
- Use data, user feedback and business outcomes to measure product effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support implementation and adoption of new digital tools, processes and ways of working.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and become a credible advisor on product management and digital transformation.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of product management practices, tools and standards within the organization.
What We’re Looking For
You bring several years of experience in product management, product consulting, digital transformation or a related field, with demonstrated experience working on complex products or business problems.
You are someone who:
- Understands modern product management principles and practices.
- Is comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Can move between strategic thinking and detailed execution.
- Knows how to uncover the real problem behind a request rather than simply taking requirements at face value.
- Can communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Is highly collaborative and comfortable working across multiple disciplines.
- Has strong facilitation, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Can navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Is curious, adaptable and motivated by solving meaningful problems.
- Takes ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
Experience That Would Be Valuable
Experience in one or more of the following would be considered an asset:
- Digital product management
- SaaS or enterprise software
- Management consulting
- Business analysis or product ownership
- Digital transformation
- User research or customer experience
- Agile product development
- Data, analytics, automation or AI-enabled solutions
- Complex or regulated industries
- Energy, utilities, infrastructure or nuclear
Previous nuclear experience is not required, although considered an asset. Candidates entering the industry with strong transferable product management capabilities are encouraged to apply.
Why This Opportunity
This is an opportunity to apply modern product thinking to meaningful, complex challenges within one of Canada’s most important and rapidly evolving industries.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work on high-impact digital and business transformation initiatives.
- Gain exposure to the Canadian nuclear industry.
- Work with experienced professionals across technology, operations and business functions.
- Solve problems that require both strategic thinking and practical execution.
- Continue developing your product management and consulting capabilities while working in a highly collaborative environment.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. Qualified candidates may also be considered for future opportunities aligned with their experience and interests.
